VSEPR Theory Explanation
Two bonding pairs repel each other to opposite sides.
- 1.Count the number of electron pairs around the central atom.
- 2.Arrange them to minimize repulsion (VSEPR).
- 3.Lone pair-lone pair > lone pair-bond pair > bond pair-bond pair repulsion.
